How Flipkart charges sellers in 2026
A Flipkart order can carry four fees: a commission fee, a fixed fee (also called the closing fee), a collection fee and a shipping fee. Commission is a percentage of the selling price. The other three are amounts in your rate card, which Flipkart shows only in the Seller Hub dashboard once you have a seller account. 18% GST applies to every fee. The rules below come from Flipkart’s official fees page, checked on 14 September 2026.
Zero commission rules
Products priced below ₹1,000 pay no commission, in any category. Fashion pays 0% commission at any price. Everything else pays the category rate from ₹1,000 upwards, and that rate is the same for FBF and NFBF orders.
| Product | Commission | In effect since |
|---|---|---|
| Fashion, at any price | 0% | 8 July 2026 |
| Any category, priced below ₹1,000 | 0% | November 2025 |
| Other categories, priced at ₹1,000 and above | Category rate in Seller Hub | Same for FBF and NFBF |
Flipkart introduced zero commission for products under ₹1,000 in November 2025. On 8 July 2026 it extended zero commission to fashion at every price. Before that, fashion paid no commission only up to ₹1,000. Zero commission covers the commission fee only. The fixed, collection and shipping fees still apply.
Fixed fee by seller tier
The fixed fee starts from a base rate in your rate card. Your seller tier moves it up or down.
| Seller tier | Fixed fee |
|---|---|
| Platinum | Base rate minus ₹15 to ₹30 |
| Gold | Base rate |
| Silver | Base rate |
| Bronze | Base rate plus ₹10 |
Flipkart calls this its standard rate card, says it can change, and excludes some categories. The calculator takes ₹15 off for Platinum, the smaller saving, so it never understates the fee. Your tier also sets how fast you are paid: Flipkart releases payment after dispatch, in as little as 3 days.
The ₹999 rule
Commission is charged on the whole selling price once a non-fashion product reaches ₹1,000. Take the example above: a Home & Kitchen product at ₹1,049 pays ₹104.90 commission at 10%. At ₹999 it pays none. The customer pays ₹50 less, yet profit per delivered order rises from ₹254.97 to ₹319.99, which is ₹65.02 more.
| Per delivered order | At ₹1,049 | At ₹999 |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | ₹104.90 | ₹0.00 |
| Flipkart fees, before GST | ₹194.90 | ₹90.00 |
| Payout | ₹813.68 | ₹887.72 |
| Profit | ₹254.97 | ₹319.99 |
| Margin | 24.31% | 32.03% |
The higher your commission rate, the further above ₹1,000 this holds. The calculator checks ₹999 for you whenever a non-fashion price is ₹1,000 or more. Fashion pays 0% commission at any price, so there is no ₹999 rule for fashion.
FBF or NFBF
With Fulfilment by Flipkart (FBF), Flipkart packs, ships and delivers your orders. With Non Fulfilment by Flipkart (NFBF), you handle packaging and shipping through Flipkart’s logistics. Commission is the same for both. Enter the fees your rate card shows for the way you fulfil. Either way, the shipping fee is worked out on the higher of actual and volumetric weight, so a smaller box can lower it.
GST, TCS and TDS
18% GST applies to Flipkart’s fees. If you are GST-registered you claim it back as input tax credit, so the calculator does not count it as a cost, but it does reduce your payout. Flipkart also holds back 0.5% GST TCS on the net taxable value and 0.1% income tax TDS under section 194-O. You claim TCS against your GST liability and TDS in your income tax return.
Product GST slabs since 22 September 2025 are 0%, 5%, 18% and 40%. Apparel is 5% up to ₹2,500 per piece before GST and 18% above, so check the slab before you price a garment near that line.
Worked example: a ₹1,049 Home & Kitchen product
A non-fashion product priced at ₹1,049 including 18% GST, with an example 10% commission and example rate-card fees for a Silver seller. Product cost is ₹350, packaging and other costs are ₹20 per order shipped, 10% of orders come back, 20% of those can’t be resold, and ads cost 5% of the price.
| Per delivered order | Amount |
|---|---|
| Selling price | ₹1,049.00 |
| GST collected (18%) | −₹160.02 |
| Commission (10%) | −₹104.90 |
| Fixed fee (Silver) | −₹20.00 |
| Collection fee | −₹10.00 |
| Shipping fee | −₹60.00 |
| Product cost | −₹350.00 |
| Packaging and other costs | −₹20.00 |
| Returns (10% returned, 20% unsellable) | −₹16.66 |
| Ads (5% of price) | −₹52.45 |
| Profit per delivered order | ₹254.97 (24.31% margin) |
The returns line spreads the return fee, unsellable stock and packaging on returned orders across the orders that are delivered. Flipkart pays out ₹813.68 for this order after fees with GST, TCS and TDS. GST on fees is claimable, so it is not counted as a cost.

Does Flipkart charge commission on products below ₹1,000?
No. Flipkart charges 0% commission on every product priced below ₹1,000, in every category, a rule it introduced in November 2025. Products outside fashion priced at ₹1,000 or more pay the category commission shown in Seller Hub. That is why a product at ₹999 can earn you more per order than the same product at a little over ₹1,000.
Is fashion zero commission on Flipkart?
Yes. Since 8 July 2026, Flipkart charges 0% commission across the entire Fashion category at every price. Before that, fashion paid no commission only up to ₹1,000. Zero commission covers the commission fee only, so the fixed, collection and shipping fees on your rate card still apply.
What fees does Flipkart deduct from sellers?
Flipkart charges four fees on an order: a commission fee, a fixed fee (also called the closing fee), a collection fee and a shipping fee. The exact amounts are in the rate card, which Flipkart shows only in the Seller Hub dashboard after you create a seller account. 18% GST applies to these fees, and Flipkart also holds back 0.5% TCS and 0.1% TDS from your payout.
What is the Flipkart fixed fee?
The fixed fee, also called the closing fee, is a per-order amount set by your rate card and adjusted by seller tier. Platinum sellers pay the base rate minus ₹15 to ₹30, Gold and Silver sellers pay the base rate, and Bronze sellers pay the base rate plus ₹10. Flipkart says this is its standard rate card, that it can change, and that some categories are excluded.
How is Flipkart’s shipping fee calculated?
Flipkart calculates the shipping fee on the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight of the packed product. The exact shipping amounts are in your Seller Hub rate card. A smaller, lighter box can move your product into a lower shipping charge.
When does Flipkart pay sellers?
Flipkart releases payment after the product is dispatched, in as little as 3 days. How quickly you are paid depends on your seller tier. The payout is the selling price minus Flipkart’s fees with 18% GST, 0.5% TCS and 0.1% TDS.
Does Flipkart charge GST on seller fees?
Yes. 18% GST applies to Flipkart’s commission, fixed, collection and shipping fees. GST-registered sellers claim it back as input tax credit, so this calculator does not count it as a cost. It still reduces the cash Flipkart pays out on each order.
What are TCS and TDS on Flipkart payouts?
Flipkart collects 0.5% GST TCS on the net taxable value of your sales and deducts 0.1% income tax TDS under section 194-O. Both are held back from your payout. You claim TCS against your GST liability and TDS in your income tax return, so neither is a final cost.
